Paphos.... Home away from home.
About Emba
Emba is a pretty village found approximately 4km north of Paphos City at 135m above sea level.  It’s close proximity to blue flag beaches, excellent golf courses, tavernas and supermarkets makes it the ideal base for a holiday.

At the centre of the village square is the 12th century church Panayia Chryseleoussa (The Virgin Mary, The Mother of Christ).  It is built in the Byzantine style and its internal walls are decorated with frescoes, some of which are of outstanding historical and religious interest.
A new church has recently been constructed next to the old one and has been dedicated to the apostle Andreas (St Andrew).  On the 30th November a religious festival is held in the church grounds to mark his name day.

Emba has grown around the narrow winding road that runs through the village.  It offers a few shops, tavernas, bank and even a theatre.  Local men can be seen sitting outside on their wooden chairs spreading out onto the narrow road in the evening.

Emba is essentially an agricultural village surrounded by fruit orchards and crop fields providing produce for the local supermarkets.

The village of Emba is bordered by Chlorakas to the South, Kissonerga on the West and Tremithousa to the East.
